Products

Our technologies are founded on Turboden's core proprietary turbomachinery.

ORC technology

The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is a closed-loop technology that efficiently produces electricity and heat from a wide range of thermal sources: renewable energy, waste heat and industrial processes.

  • Operates without water or steam, using organic fluids
  • Compact and reliable
  • Well suited to distributed generation
  • Recovers low- to medium-temperature heat, improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact

Gas expander

Gas expanders improve the efficiency of natural gas networks by recovering the energy released during pressure reduction and converting it into clean electricity.

  • Turns otherwise wasted energy into useful power
  • Enhances sustainability in gas transportation and distribution systems

Large heat pump

High-temperature heat pump systems for hot water and steam.
They generate electrified heat at any capacity and up to 250 °C, even in the form of steam.

  • Transfer large quantities of heat from a lower temperature source to a higher temperature heat user

Solutions

Three Business Units: power generation, heat electrification and service for the plants we deliver.

Power Generation

Turboden's ORC technology is well suited to these areas of application.

Technologies: ORC technology, Gas expander

  • Next-generation geothermal

Advanced geothermal technologies that expand clean energy production beyond naturally hot regions. Innovative drilling, reservoir engineering and heat-extraction methods reach deep, widespread underground heat for reliable, low-carbon power and heating.

  • Conventional geothermal

Naturally occurring underground reservoirs of hot water or steam, accessed through wells in geologically active areas, to produce electricity or provide direct heat.

  • Waste heat to power

Capturing excess heat from industrial or energy-generation processes and converting it into useful electricity, improving efficiency and reducing energy waste.

  • Biomass

Organic materials derived from wood, such as forest residues, sawdust, bark and production by-products, including from the wood-based panel industry, used as a renewable source to generate power or heat and power in wood processing.

  • Waste to energy

Converting municipal, industrial or agricultural waste into usable energy, such as electricity.

Heat Electrification

Technology: Large heat pump

Turboden heat electrification technologies go beyond simply providing heat. They play a strategic role in accelerating the transition toward cleaner, more efficient energy infrastructure across industries and cities.

  • Industrial sector

Such as pulp & paper, refinery & petrochemical, chemical & pharmaceutical, food & beverage

  • District heating networks

Exploiting multiple heat sources including cooling water from industries

  • Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) plants

CCUS improving sequestration efficiency by up to 20% compared to conventional systems
